The Environment

We believe it is increasingly important to consider the origin of the materials which we use and one of the main ecological issues within the moulding industry today is the origin of the timber.

We have specifically chosen to use companies who try to do their utmost to ensure that wherever possible, the timer used in the production of their mouldings are sourced from suppliers who operate in accordance with the principles of good forest management.

A large proportion of the materials used in our Bespoke Framing Service meet with PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Chain of Custody accreditations from BM TRADA Certification Ltd.

These schemes provide assurance mechanisms to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are purchasing wood produced in a sustainable way. Products carrying the FSC or PEFC labels are independently certified to assure consumers that they come from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations.
Chain of Custody certification is the unbroken path which products take from the forest to the consumer, including all stages of manufacturing, transportation and distribution.

This means we can offer you the added reassurance and peace of mind about the source of the timber used in our products.
Thus wherever possible, the materials we use are sourced very much with conservation in the forefront of our mind. Furthermore, all mount boards, tapes, adhesives and the likes are also conservation and acid free.

From wood to finish - paint, stain, lacquer, foil or metal - great care & attention is given to each individual piece of moulding at every stage. By using suppliers with decades of experience in manufacturing, production and distribution, all essential factors have been carefully considered and we too can constantly keep customers satisfied with the very latest designs in this fast developing market.
